Internships
Thinking about an internship in IT? An internship will give you the opportunity to think through your career plans and tailor them to fit you best. Interns have a leading edge in the job market because many employers are expecting and requiring some type of internship.
An internship will also show you how what you learn in the classroom applies to real life and the work world while you make connections with professionals in the field. That experience can help boost your motivation to learn more and make better choices about any future coursework and classes, so that you get the most out of your college investment!
Some internship opportunities:
• AccessComputing • Akamai • Commonwealth Covenant Fund
• Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute • Dept of Higher Ed • Yahoo!
If you use the Internet for anything - to download music or software, check the headlines, book a flight - you've probably used Akamai's services without even knowing it. We play a critical role in getting content from providers to consumers. Today Akamai handles tens of billions of daily Web interactions for companies like Audi, NBC, and Fujitsu, and organizations like the U.S. Department of Defense and NASDAQ -- powering brand new business models that serve the changing online economy.
Available internship positions have been posted on our career site! Please visit akamai.com/careers and search the internship category. You must apply directly on-line to be considered for positions. Akamai Technologies is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity employer (M/F/D/V) that values the strength that diversity brings to the workplace. Good luck with your search!
Innovation Open Houses are a great way for students in the Boston area to network and gain an insight into some of the most fun and cutting-edge companies. The company visits are casual so as to promote a friendly and open environment where students are comfortable and encouraged to listen and participate in discussion. The open houses are free and open to all interested students. Please visit http://neinnovation.com/ioh.html for more information!
