Computer Science Unplugged is a series of learning activities that reveals a little-known secret: computer science isn't really about computers at all! Unplugged teaches principles of computer science such as binary numbers, algorithms and data compression through games and puzzles that use cards, string, crayons and lots of running around. Unplugged is suitable for people of all ages, from elementary school to university, and from many countries and backgrounds.

This site provides interactive links for educational as well as entertainment purposes related to computer science. There is an online magazine that you can read digitally as well as request a copy to your home.

MAGIC (More Active Girls In Computing)

MAGIC successfully aims to be a mentorship program. They believe that we need to start with middle school girls, and foster in them a positive attitude towards computing, since the high school level might be too late. MAGIC is run by women with careers in technology. Mentorship ison both technical and personal subjects, including work/life balance, role of girls in our society and how that is changing, how to avoid the technology stereotype, etc.

MIT Insite! is an online community and dynamic social networking resource for middle school students interested in exploring innovations in science and engineering. MIT Insite! allows all registered users to upload, view, and share multimedia content related to their common interests in the STEM disciplines.
